The Marble Arch is a is a real-life landmark located in London, England. It is an important monument in The Shadow Cabinetthe third novel in the Shades of London book series. The arch symbolises a gateway between the living world and the afterlife. It was originally built for Buckingham Palace but soon needed to be moved. Lord Williamson suggested that it be built where the Oswulf Stone stood so it would be embedded in the arch, but he changed his mind after realizing how dangerous that might be.

While Stephen and Rory are in the weird Purgatory Alternate Dream Dimension, Stephen tries very hard to reach the Marble Arch there, suggesting that it's still an important place to the Shadow Cabinet.
