The Cult Shades are a group of people who have developed the Sight, but are intent on using it for ill purposes. They are introduced in The Madness Underneath, though their misguided nature is not revealed until the end of the book, when they try to trap and kidnap Rory.

Jane Quaint took over for Sid and Sadie after they died, but the two took charge again after their return.

Current cult members include Jack Brackell, Charlotte, Devina, and Mags. Whether these characters are deceased or not is currently unknown.
